DOEL / PURPOSE

As part off a holistic development approach, culture plays just as an important role as sport and academics. Die Kunswedstryd bied dus ‘n wonderlike geleentheid vir die leerders om hulself op kultuurgebied te verryk en ook terselfdertyd hul selfvertroue te versterk.

Our school hosts an Eisteddfod every year.

BEOORDELING / AJUDICATOR

We make use of excellent and very professional adjudicators, who always give the children amazing and appropriate guidance on their own level of development.

GEDIG INLIGTING / POEM INFORMATION

Foundation Phase – Gr R – 3

  • Learners get the opportunity to recite poems of their own choice.
  • Poems for Grade R can be 1 verse long.
  • Leerders in Graad 1 – 3 se gediggies is 2-3 verse lank.
  • After the learner has chosen a poem he/she must present it to the class teacher to determine if the poem is acceptable for the specific age group.
  • Parents help the learners to prepare and practice at home.
  • Learners will get the opportunity to recite their poem in class to build some self confidence 3 weeks before the Eisteddfod.

Intermediate Phase – Gr 4 – 7

  • Learners get the opportunity to recite poems of their own choice.
  • Leerders in die Intermediêre fase se gedigte is 4-5 verse lank.
  • After the learner has chosen a poem he/she must present it to the class teacher to determine if the poem is acceptable for the specific age group.
  • Parents help the learners to prepare and practice at home.
  • Learners will get the opportunity to recite their poem in class to build some self confidence 3 weeks before the Eisteddfod.

REGISTRASIEFOOI / REGESTRATION FEE

Daar is ‘n minimale inskrywingsfooi van R10.00 per leerder. (Amount may change)

ERKENNING / RECOGNITION

Each learner will receive a certificate.
